SIGGRAPH 2003, San Diego, CA — July 29, 2003 — NGRAIN® Corporation, an emerging leader in interactive 3D visualization and simulation software tools, today announced that its award-winning NGRAIN technology is optimized for Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology.
NGRAIN provides an easy way for application developers, equipment manufacturers and software integrators to add 3D interfaces and graphics to applications running on the Intel Centrino mobile technology. The technological advancements achieved by NGRAIN alleviate dependency on hardware acceleration. Using NGRAIN, enterprises can create compelling, interactive 3D applications that reside on mobile employees' laptops or Tablet PCs, creating a visual interface through which users can wirelessly access essential data from other external sources, such as servers residing at their home office.
For example, an airplane mechanic servicing a plane on the tarmac could have a fully interactive 3D model of the plane's engine on his or her Tablet PC and connect wirelessly to a central company database to access essential data, such as maintenance and service records, part numbers, or component disassembly instructions.

Once converted to the NGRAIN format, the data is significantly compressed and can be embedded into highly portable, interactive applications tailored for in-field training, maintenance and service. Equipment manufacturers and their customers have the opportunity to streamline training and maintenance using NGRAIN.
