What: The Effective Use of Interactive 3D Simulations in Maintenance Training

Session 9, WATS Maintenance - Training Technology: Simulation and Training Aids in Maintenance. Ms. Simpson will present the benefits and effective methods for utilizing 3D technology to accelerate maintenance training on complex equipment and enable first-time-right repairs, transforming maintenance training as we know it today.

Through the session, attendees will learn, through case study examples, how interactive 3D simulations can be implemented in instructional programs to achieve shorter time to proficiency. Attendees will learn how they can apply similar concepts to their own organizations.

The session will discuss:

  • Trends in the use of simulations in maintenance training
  • Common challenges in maintenance training within the airline industry
  • When and how to implement interactive 3D content in training programs
  • Case study examples of 3D simulation in the context of Just-in-Time (JIT) training
