A free software application, NGRAIN® Viewer allows users to interact with NGRAIN 3D Knowledge Object™ (3KO®) simulations, either on their own or as part of HTML pages, Microsoft® Word documents, PowerPoint® slides, or Adobe® PDF files.
With Viewer, users can explore virtual equipment, view internal components, experience part movement constraints, watch procedural animations, and practice part removal and replacement tasks in real time.
Viewer includes plug-ins that allow users to insert Viewer with ease into Microsoft Word documents, PowerPoint slides, and Adobe PDF files.
Viewer is optimized for efficient delivery of 3D simulations over the Web, and does not require a specialized 3D graphics acceleration card, removing the burden and cost traditionally associated with 3D graphics.

NGRAIN VIRTUAL TASK REFRESHER DEMO:
Based on NGRAIN commercial-off-the-shelf software, the NGRAIN Virtual Task Refresher (VTR) is a customized application that leverages 3KO® (3D Knowledge Object™) files — or 3D equipment simulations — to support remote personnel in the performance of operation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
VTRs can be deployed by simply copying the application directory onto a CD-ROM, USB Key, or computer hard drive, and can run instantly without performing any installation. VTRs do not require administrator rights to play, leave no footprint on computers, and conform to US Department of Defense Mobile Code policy.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional Service Pack 3 (SP3), Windows Vista® Service Pack 2 (SP2), or Windows 7 operating system
Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2 x86 - 32-bit) or .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2 x64 – 64 bit).
Windows® Media Player 9.0 or later
1024 x 768 display resolution
16-bit or 32-bit display color depth
Performance is related to computer processor speed and memory and to the complexity of the 3D model.
128 MB of RAM and a 700 MHz processor is the minimum; however, 512 MB of RAM and a 1.4 GHz processor is recommended.
Performance will be improved most by adding additional RAM.

In the unzipped location, launch “VirtualTaskRefresher.Exe”
Use this installer to install NGRAIN Viewer 4.2, the plug-ins allowing insertion of 3KO® in Microsoft® Word®, PowerPoint®, Adobe® PDF, and a 3K0 Sample. If needed, this installer will also install Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1, and Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2.
