INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. It is recommended to close any other programs you are running.
2. Click "Download" to download and install NGRAIN Viewer.
3. Depending on your security settings a "File Download" dialog box may appear. Click "Run" to run the installation from the NGRAIN web server.

By default the installation process adds a folder called "NGRAIN Viewer 4.2" to your computer in the following location: C:\Program Files\NGRAIN\

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

• Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional Service Pack 3 (SP3), Windows Vista® Service Pack 2 (SP2), or Windows 7 operating system
• Microsoft® Internet Explorer® version 7.0 or later
• Microsoft® .NET Framework version 2.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) (included with the installer)
• Microsoft® Windows® Installer 3.1 (included with the installer)
• Microsoft® Visual C++® 2005 Redistributable (included with the installer)
• Microsoft Office 2005 Redistributable Primary Interop Assemblies (included with the installer)
• 800x600 screen area or higher (1024x768 recommended)
• 16-bit or 32-bit color depth

Performance is related to your computer's processor speed and memory and to the complexity (size and number of parts) of the 3D model you are viewing.

• For basic models, such as the sample 3D Knowledge Objects, your computer should have a minimum of 128 MB of RAM and a 700 MHz processor.
• For complex models, it is recommended that your computer have at least 512 MB of RAM and a 1.4 GHz processor.
• Performance with complex models will be improved most by adding additional RAM.

For Microsoft Office users:

• Microsoft Word or PowerPoint 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3), 2007, or 2010.

For Microsoft Word of PowerPoint 2003:

• The Update for Office 2003 (KB907417) (included with the installer) .

For Adobe Acrobat users:

• Adobe Acrobat 7.0.0 or later.

For viewing only:

• Adobe® Reader® 9.0.0 or later.
• 800x600 screen area or higher.
• 16- or 32-bit color depth.
